Canadian Style Log Cabin

Each cabin requires around 50+ spruce logs, that is 50+ young spruce trees. The logs cut at 10, 12 or 14 feet long still retain the bark for that genuine rustic 1800s style with low pitch boarded roof.

When the horizontal seams are filled between the poles and the roof is complete with waterproof membrane beneath the rough sawn roof boards and the lead ridge is fitted, the cabin is 100% weatherproof, it is insulated and snug.

Flooring is built up of two layers of boarding with waterproof membrane below. A stone or brick hearth can be designed into the floor as required to support a pot bellied stove.

Each cabin can be designed to fit into a particular space in your garden or wooded area with roof eaves cut to allow trees to grow through and so blend naturally and to become a truly ideal summer house in your garden.
